Basketball Recap: Selinsgrove's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

It was a good run, but Selinsgrove unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 63-48 bruising from the Williamsport Millionaires. The Seals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Millionaires from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Selinsgrove lost, don't look at Gavin Bastian. Despite the final result, he posted 17 points. Bastian's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jace Diehl was another key player, putting up nine points.

Selinsgrove's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Williamsport, they moved to 3-8 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Selinsgrove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 84-64 defeat against Shamokin Area on the 18th. Williamsport has also already played their next game (against Harrisburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
