Volleyball Game Preview: East Thunderbirds vs. Sheridan Broncs + How To Watch

After both having extra time off, the East Thunderbirds and the Sheridan Broncs will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

East not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 12, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past South 3-0.

East not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept South between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-19.

Mckenna Waters was the offensive standout of the match as she had nine digs and seven assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last seven contests.

Meanwhile, Sheridan faced Campbell County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Broncs put the hurt on the Camels with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Broncs in their matchups with the Camels: they've now won four in a row.

Sheridan never let Campbell County on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 25-17.

East's record is now 14-11. As for Sheridan, their record now sits at 10-8.

East came up short against Sheridan when the teams last played back in September, falling 3-1. Can the Thunderbirds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
