Baseball Recap: Central Find Success

Central's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Bellevue East Chieftains by a score of 6-3.

The team relied heavily on Sam Massey, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Hughes, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bellevue East only posted an OBP of .357.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Bellevue East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.

Coming up, Central will look to defend their home field on Monday against Park Hill at 4:00 p.m. As for Bellevue East, they are taking a road trip to square off against Millard West at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last four games the Wildcats have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
