Volleyball Recap: Hilton Head Island Takes a Loss

Hilton Head Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lucy Beckham Bengals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Seahawks of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Hilton Head Island's loss dropped their record down to 7-23. As for Lucy Beckham, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season.

Hilton Head Island will venture away from home to take on Beaufort at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lucy Beckham, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Musselman on the 11th.
