Softball Recap: Center Hill Comes Up Short

After flying high against Independence last Friday, Center Hill came back down to earth. The Mustangs fell just short of the Saltillo Tigers by a score of 10-8 on Tuesday. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Center Hill's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Saltillo, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7-1 record this season.

Center Hill will face off against Grenada at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Saltillo, they will challenge Olive Branch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers are facing the Conquistadors at the right time seeing as the Conquistadors are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
