Basketball Recap: Windom Comes Up Short

Windom was the 74-71 winner over Westbrook-Walnut Grove when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Windom Eagles fell 80-68 to the Westbrook-Walnut Grove Chargers on Tuesday.

Windom's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Westbrook-Walnut Grove, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windom and Redwood Valley will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Redwood Valley will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Windom surely won't give up without a fight. Westbrook-Walnut Grove will take on Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Westbrook-Walnut Grove knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda likes a good challenge.
