MaxPreps 2013 California Large School Baseball All-State Team

With Jack Flaherty of Harvard-Westlake (Studio City) already picking up the award for MaxPreps National Player of the Year, it shouldn't come as any surprise that the Wolverine junior has been selected by MaxPreps as the California Large School State Player of the Year.

Winner of multiple POY honors, Flaherty led Harvard-Westlake to the Southern Section Division 1 championship while posting a 13-0 overall record. He is considered a possible first round draft pick in the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft.

Flaherty heads a list of 60 All-State players separated into a first and second team. The players are selected from schools who participate in enrollment divisions generally larger than 2,000 students.

Mater Dei has the most players selected to the squad with two on the first team and two on the second. Elk Grove has three players named while Harvard-Westlake, St. Francis (Mountain View), San Fernando, Buchanan, Clovis, Rancho Bernardo, Agoura, Logan, Granada, and Cypress have two each.
