Soccer Recap: Mortimer Jordan Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Mortimer Jordan was not quite Hueytown's equal in the second half on Thursday. They came up short against the Hueytown Golden Gophers, falling 4-1. The defeat leaves the Blue Devils still looking for their first win of the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Brooks Redo, who's now up to two this season.

Mortimer Jordan's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hueytown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coincidentally, Mortimer Jordan and Hueytown will both be playing Pinson Valley the next time they take the pitch. Mortimer Jordan will host Pinson Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Hueytown will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
