Football Recap: Thunder Ridge Longhorns vs. Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs
Thunder Ridge couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs on Friday, falling 50-0. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.
Evan Slavik threw for 31 yards on four of eight attempts.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thunder Ridge will head out to take on Rock Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Thunder Ridge focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday. As for Sylvan-Lucas, they are taking a road trip to challenge St. John's/Tipton Catholic on Friday. Sylvan-Lucas is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
