Basketball Recap: Lake Buena Vista Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Lake Buena Vista lost against Boone back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lake Buena Vista Vipers took a hard 70-52 fall against the Boone Braves. The Vipers were down 61-39 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Joan Orta was the offensive standout of the game as he went 7 for 13 on his way to 15 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cohen Brubaker, who posted 11 points.

Lake Buena Vista's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-12. As for Boone, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Buena Vista will venture away from home to face off against Cypress Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Boone, they are taking a road trip to take on DeLand at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Boone knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matches -- so hopefully DeLand likes a good challenge.
