Loyd Star had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Pelahatchie Chiefs on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Hornets sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Loyd Star's win bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Pelahatchie, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Loyd Star wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 6-4 victory against Bay Springs on the 23rd. Pelahatchie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
