Basketball Recap: Ray Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Chase Chester and Logan Rice

After flying high against Valley Union on Tuesday, Ray came back down to earth. The Bearcats received a blow on Thursday as they fell 56-42 to the Bagdad Sultans. The loss was the Bearcats' first of the season.

Despite the loss, Ray had strong showings from Logan Rice, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 boards, and Chase Chester, who shot 54% from the field on his way to 18 points. Rice is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 56% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Seth Wade, who posted seven points and eight rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ray fell to 3-1. As for Bagdad, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Ray has already played their next game, a 56-30 victory against Fredonia on the 4th. As for Bagdad, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 45-18 win against Ash Fork on the 5th.
