Softball Game Preview: Wauwatosa West Trojans vs. Germantown Warhawks

Wauwatosa West hasn't had much luck against Germantown recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Trojans will host the Warhawks at 4:30 p.m. Wauwatosa West has given up an average of 20.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wauwatosa West is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They lost 29-4 to Brookfield East.

Meanwhile, Germantown never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past Menomonee Falls 10-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warhawks.

Germantown let Kayla Preiss and Madison Werner run wild. Preiss scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Werner scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Those three hits gave Preiss a new career-high. Emersyn Coulter was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Wauwatosa West's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Germantown, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
