Softball Recap: South Fayette Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

South Fayette was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against the Chartiers Valley Colts by a score of 9-5. Surprisingly, this marked the Lions' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

South Fayette's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Chartiers Valley, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4.

South Fayette and Chartiers Valley should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Lions (ranked 66th) will meet Montour (ranked 286th) at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Chartiers Valley will face off against Moon Area at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (33 vs. 156).
