Football Recap: Hilltop Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Hilltop unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 24-7 bruising from the Coronado Islanders on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

The critical scores for Coronado came from Reese Pagon and Deklan Shann.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hilltop will venture away from home to square off against El Cajon Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Coronado, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
