Soccer Recap: Morgan City Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central, Morgan City was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Plaquemine Green Devils a 3-0 shutout. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

They hit Plaquemine with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Yenifer Garcia, Lily Viator, and Geraldine Martinez.

Morgan City's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Plaquemine, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Morgan City will challenge Vandebilt Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Plaquemine, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against St. Martinville at 6:00 p.m.
