Baseball Game Preview: Yulee Hornets vs. Westside Wolverines

The Yulee Hornets will head out on the road to challenge the Westside Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Yulee came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Glynn Academy, falling 8-2. The Hornets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Yulee saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Davis, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Westside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 29th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 21-8 to Ribault.

Yulee's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Westside, their loss dropped their record down to 0-18.

Everything went Yulee's way against Westside when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Yulee made off with a 29-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
