Gilbert Classical Academy barely beat Arete Prep the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the CHARGERS on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on five straight dating back to last season.

Gilbert Classical Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-17.

Aveline Scilley paced Gilbert Classical Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Scilley got some help from Mackenzie Redford and her 19 assists. Scilley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Gilbert Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Arete Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gilbert Classical Academy will head out to face off against Rancho Solano Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Arete Prep, they will venture away from home to square off against Valley Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
