Softball Recap: Chuckey-Doak Comes Up Short

Chuckey-Doak extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 2-12 in the process. They lost 15-4 to the South Greene Rebels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-7 two weeks ago.

Saniah Atchison was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Emmie Tipton was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.

As for South Greene, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

On South Greene's side, Reagan Arrowood and Hailey Williamson did most of the damage at the plate: Arrowood got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Williamson got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Whitney Reaves, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Chuckey-Doak didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-2 win against Hampton on the 15th. South Greene has also already played their next contest (against West Greene), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
