Kilgore had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.2 goals) and they went ahead and made it seven on Monday. They blew past the Center Roughriders 7-0. The Bulldogs' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Kilgore pushed their record up to 9-3-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five matches. As for Center, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kilgore will square off against Sabine at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Center, they will face off against Spring Hill at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Spring Hill has five straight wins, Center has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.
