Basketball Game Preview: Germantown Warhawks vs. New Berlin Eisenhower Lions

The Germantown Warhawks will face off against the New Berlin Eisenhower Lions at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

Germantown unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 72-35 loss at the hands of Kettle Moraine Lutheran on Tuesday. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Avery O'Brien, who posted ten points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Teigan Stuve, who had eight points and three steals.

Meanwhile, New Berlin Eisenhower strolled past Menomonee Falls with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 70-51. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Germantown took their victory against New Berlin Eisenhower when the teams last played back in January of 2021 by a conclusive 67-41 score. In that matchup, the Warhawks amassed a halftime lead of 67-41, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
