After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sikeston, Dexter was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 63-48 victory over the Advance Hornets. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Hornets are ranked 396th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dexter's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Advance, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-14.

Looking ahead, Dexter will face off against Bell City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Advance, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Scott County Central at 7:15 p.m.
