Volleyball Game Preview: Britton-Hecla Braves vs. Groton Tigers

Britton-Hecla is 0-10 against Groton since September of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Braves will challenge the Tigers. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Britton-Hecla is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Redfield. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Braves.

Groton won the last time they faced Milbank and Jerica Locke did her part to make sure it happened again. The Tigers blew past the Bulldogs 3-0 last Tuesday thanks in part to Locke, who had 16 digs and two assists. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Groton was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-10, 25-19.

Groton's win bumped their record up to 24-5. As for Britton-Hecla, their victory bumped their record up to 14-12.

Britton-Hecla suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Groton when the teams last played back in October. Can the Braves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
