Smithtown Christian waltzed into their game  on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single  run of losing the streak, but they secured  a   7-6 W against the Amityville Memorial Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Knights have posted  since April 5th.
 Erick Aristy and  Quincy Gibbs were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Aristy   struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   three  hits. Meanwhile,  Gibbs   pitched two innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   one  hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in eight consecutive appearances. At bat,  Aristy  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and one  double, while  Gibbs  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and three  runs.
