Volleyball Recap: Grapevine Faith Christian Falls to Oakridge in First Game of Season

Grapevine Faith Christian had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Oakridge Owls. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

While Grapevine Faith Christian was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Oakridge's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-4, 25-18, 25-21.

Grapevine Faith Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Legacy Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on September 2. As for Oakridge, they will take on Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
