Recap: Butte Valley Bulldogs vs. Big Valley Cardinals
The Butte Valley Bulldogs's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They managed a 54-49 win over Big Valley. This was payback for Butte Valley, who suffered a 45-41 defeat the last time these two teams met.
When it comes to explaining why Big Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kade Lemke. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Lemke scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Marcus Mitchell, who scored ten points.
The victory got Butte Valley back to even at 2-2. As for Big Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Butte Valley will take on Chester at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Chester will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. Big Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dunsmuir at 6:00 p.m. on December 22nd.
