Volleyball Recap: Bishop Canevin Takes a Loss

Bishop Canevin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Eden Christian Academy. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their defeat to Eden Christian Academy from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Bishop Canevin ultimately came up short, they really made Eden Christian Academy work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-13, 25-12, 25-14.

Eden Christian Academy was led to victory by Ainsley Chevalier and Nina Oliver. Chevalier had eight assists and five digs, while Oliver had three digs and two assists. That's the most assists Oliver has posted over her last five matches.

Bishop Canevin's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Eden Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Bishop Canevin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against St. Joseph on the 15th. As for Eden Christian Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Serra Catholic on the 16th.
