The Hueytown Golden Gophers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Bessemer City 85-37 at home. That looming 85-37 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Hueytown yet this season.

Hueytown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shinki Mulbah led the charge by scoring 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Patton, who scored 19 points.

Hueytown's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Bessemer City, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
