Baseball Recap: Inderkum Comes Up Short

On Tuesday, the Inderkum Tigers came up short against the Vista del Lago Eagles and fell 5-2.

Inderkum saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Montilla, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Matt Fields also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Inderkum has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. Vista del Lago has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

While Inderkum had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
