Baseball Recap: Nuview Bridge Comes Up Short

Nuview Bridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Valley Mustangs. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 11-7 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Tobias Olague was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Joshy Rodriguez, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4.

Nuview Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for West Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Nuview Bridge will welcome Notre Dame at 3:15 p.m. on March 10th. As for West Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Redlands at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last three games Redlands has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
