Basketball Recap: Hunter Villa's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fort Leboeuf over Farrell

After flying high against Titusville last Friday, Fort LeBoeuf came back down to earth. The Fort LeBoeuf Bison took a 67-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Farrell Steelers.

Several Bison players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hunter Villa, who went 7-for-13 en route to 16 points and eight boards. Villa has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Carson Papay, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 17 points.

Fort LeBoeuf's defeat dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Farrell, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season.

Fort LeBoeuf does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Farrell, they will face off against Cathedral Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.
