Baseball Recap: Mohonasen Comes Up Short

Mohonasen fell victim to Cobleskill-Richmondville and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 13-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since May 6, 2024.

Mohonasen saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AJ Crux, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Crux is becoming a predictor of the Warriors' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 4-5 when he doesn't).

Mohonasen has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Cobleskill-Richmondville, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mohonasen will venture away from home to square off against Lansingburgh at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cobleskill-Richmondville, they will head out to take on Mayfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
