Recap: Centaurus Warriors vs. Peak to Peak Pumas
The Centaurus Warriors were the 49-30 winner over the Peak to Peak Pumas when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Centaurus had to suffer through a rough 60-29 loss at the hands of Peak to Peak. Centaurus has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Centaurus' lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Clara Halloran, who scored 4 points along with 5 rebounds.
Centaurus struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Peak to Peak racked up 18.
Alexandra Eschmeyer was a one-man wrecking crew for Peak to Peak as she dropped a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Annasofia Foster, who scored 5 points along with 11 rebounds and 6 assists.
Centaurus' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Peak to Peak, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Centaurus will be playing in front of their home fans against Smoky Hill at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Peak to Peak won't have much time to rest: their next match is against University at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully University focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Thursday.
