Softball Recap: Barberton Takes a Loss

Barberton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Highland Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-4 back in April.

Barberton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mea Hibbs, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Barberton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Highland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-14.

Barberton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Highland, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-0 loss against Howland on the 20th.
