Basketball Game Preview: Destin Sharks vs. Alabama Aerospace and Aviation

The Destin Sharks and Alabama Aerospace and Aviation will round out the year against one another at at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Destin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.4 points per game this season.

Destin easily dispatched Florala last Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Destin fell just short of South Walton by a score of 43-40 on Friday. The Sharks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite their loss, Destin saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Junior Harris, who went 5 of 10 en route to 12 points, was perhaps the best of all. That's the most points Harris has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Memphis DeLong, who posted eight points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 85-40, which was the final score in Alabama Aerospace and Aviation's tilt against Tarrant last Friday. The matchup marked Alabama Aerospace and Aviation's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Alabama Aerospace and Aviation's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4. As for Destin, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
