Baseball Recap: Temple City Comes Up Short

Temple City was the 5-3 winner over La Canada when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Temple City Rams took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the La Canada Spartans on Thursday.

Temple City has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7-1 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. The win made it two in a row for La Canada and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Temple City will face off against South El Monte at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for La Canada, they will square off against Marshall at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Marshall will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something La Canada surely won't give up without a fight.
