Basketball Recap: Izellah Kendrick Key Part of a Team Effort in Bulls Win

Steinbrenner typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Bloomingdale proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Steinbrenner Warriors by a score of 69-56. Bloomingdale's win was all the more impressive since the Warriors were averaging only 29.42 points allowed on the season.

Bloomingdale's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Izellah Kendrick, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. That's the most points Kendrick has posted since back in February of 2024. Noelle Mengel was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

Steinbrenner lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Samantha Coble, who scored 12 points. Coble is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sarah Coble, who put up 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Bloomingdale's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5. As for Steinbrenner, their loss dropped their record down to 22-2.

Bloomingdale has already played their next contest, a 69-14 victory against Gaither on the 6th. As for Steinbrenner, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 92-15 win against East Lake on the 6th.
