Softball Recap: Windber Ramblers vs. Southern Huntingdon County Rockets
After flying high against North Star last Tuesday, Windber came back down to earth. The Windber Ramblers fell just short of the Southern Huntingdon County Rockets by a score of 9-7 on Wednesday.
Kaylie Gaye made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and a triple.
Windber's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Southern Huntingdon County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.
Windber will head out on the road to square off against Berlin Brothersvalley at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Berlin Brothersvalley is coming into the match with six straight wins at home, so Windber will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Southern Huntingdon County, they will head out on the road to take on Mount Union at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mount Union is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
