Baseball Recap: Midway Raiders vs. Jordan-Matthews Jets        
        
		
            
 With a playoff game on the line, Midway rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Jordan-Matthews Jets  a   5-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but Midway sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
 Not much got past  John McLamb, who gave up just  two  hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Jordan-Matthews off the board. McLamb has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than eight  strikeouts in seven consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Tanner Williams, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of  Wyatt Scott, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.
 Midway has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten games,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record  this season. As for Jordan-Matthews,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 10-13.
 Midway will square off against Farmville Central on Friday. The pair have allowed few  runs on average, (Midway: 3.4, Farmville Central: 3) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Jordan-Matthews does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
