Baseball Recap: David Anderson's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

David Anderson lost against East Canton back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Blue Devils fell 5-2 to the Hornets.

Brady Carpenter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because David Anderson is 7-3 when he allows at most two walks, but 5-6 otherwise.

At the plate, David Anderson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Hinchliffe, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

David Anderson's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-9. As for East Canton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-15 record this season.

As of now, neither David Anderson nor East Canton have any future games scheduled.
