Baseball Recap: Empire Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Empire finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They fell 3-0 to the Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions. The loss continues a trend for the Ravens in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost seven in a row.

Empire saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Micah Tiggas, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Tiggas has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Empire now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Empire will be playing in front of their home fans against Tanque Verde at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Sahuarita at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
