Recap: Sacred Heart Prep Gators vs. Justin-Siena Braves
The Justin-Siena Braves typically have all the answers at home, but on Saturday the Sacred Heart Prep Gators proved too difficult a challenge. They rang in the new year with a 61-51 victory over the Braves. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sacred Heart Prep also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Sacred Heart Prep was led to victory by JP Kerrigan and Drew Wagner. Kerrigan scored 15 points along with three steals, while Wagner scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The match was Wagner's fourth in a row with at least ten points. TJ O'Brien was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Sacred Heart Prep is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Justin-Siena, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.
Sacred Heart Prep will be playing at home against Eastside College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastside College Prep is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games. As for Justin-Siena, they will head out on the road to face off against Casa Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
