Volleyball Recap: Islands Takes a Loss

Islands lost against Effingham County back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Sharks fell 2-0 to the Rebels.

While Islands was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20.

Islands' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Effingham County, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Islands will venture away from home to take on Frederica Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Effingham County, they will head out to challenge The Habersham School at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
