Baseball Game Preview: Bloomington Purple Raiders vs. Peoria Notre Dame Irish

The Bloomington Purple Raiders will square off against the Peoria Notre Dame Irish at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Peoria Notre Dame took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Bloomington, who comes in off a win.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Bloomington nor Centennial made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Purple Raiders never let the Chargers get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Purple Raiders in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 20 runs the game before, Peoria Notre Dame was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They fell just short of Richwoods by a score of 3-2.

Peoria Notre Dame saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaiser King, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Bloomington's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Peoria Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
