Preview: Sedan Devils vs. Udall Eagles

Sedan is 9-1 against the Eagles since March of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Sedan Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Udall Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Tuesday, Sedan came up short against the Patriots and fell 59-46. It was the first time this season that Sedan let down their fans at home.

Meanwhile, Udall's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to South Haven 68-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

The losing side was boosted by Jenson Harness, who shot 5-for-8 from deep and dropped a double-double on 43 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Jordan Hornecker was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.

Sedan's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-5. As for Udall, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Sedan against the Eagles in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 71-40 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sedan since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
