Highland put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 53-44 victory over the Liberty Common Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Highland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dom Huntington led the charge by going 6 for 11 on his way to 16 points. Brogan Palmer was another key player, going 6 for 9 on his way to 13 points in addition to six boards and four blocks.

Highland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 25 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Liberty Common still got an impressive performance from Pierce Richardson, who posted 17 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Clay, who put up eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Highland's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.1 points per game. As for Liberty Common, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-3.

Highland and Liberty Common should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. Highland (ranked seventh) will meet Platte Valley (ranked 204th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Highland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.4 points per game this season. Similarly, Liberty Common (ranked 51st) will meet Lyons (ranked 201st) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
