Soccer Game Preview: Destin vs. Walton

The Destin Sharks are taking a road trip to take on the Walton Braves at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Destin has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Walton will arrive with three straight victories.

Destin lost 6-2 to Freeport on Monday.

Meanwhile, Walton kept a clean sheet against Bozeman on Monday. They came out on top against the Bucks by a score of 2-0. Walton's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Megan Banks and Carli Nowling scored both of Walton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Destin's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Walton, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 6-2-2.
