Basketball Game Preview: Sun Valley Spartans vs. Ballantyne Ridge Wolves

The Sun Valley Spartans will square off against the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sun Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Sun Valley turned things around against Parkwood on Tuesday. They walked away with a 58-50 win over the Wolf Pack.

Jaylin Powell was a one-man wrecking crew for Sun Valley as he posted 15 points and eight rebounds. Thanasi Papazis was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Meanwhile, Ballantyne Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Central, falling 62-41. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-12.

Ballantyne Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Sun Valley, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5.
