Soccer Recap: Higley's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

There's no place like home for Higley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Queen Creek Bulldogs a 1-0 shutout on Wednesday. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 6-1 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2014.

Higley's one-goal win came courtesy of Wyatt Macgillivray, which was the first he's scored this season.

With the victory, Higley broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-8. As for Queen Creek, they now have a losing record at 3-4-1.

Higley has already played their next matchup, a 5-3 win against Cibola on the 17th. As for Queen Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against Highland on the 22nd.
