Canton came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Mabank Panthers by a score of 45-38. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-38 back in December of 2024.

Canton has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.2 points per game. As for Mabank, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 24-6.

Coincidentally, Canton and Mabank will both be playing Van the next time they take the court. Canton will host Van at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while Mabank will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on January 28th.
